Abstract:
This is side A of a double-sided map. The map covers Antarctica south of 60°S. It is a topographic map
including: Coastline and ice shelves, bathymetry, ice/rock limits, contours, key mountain summits and
hill-shaded terrain, and scientific research stations.
There are 4 smaller panels in the corners showing seasonal sea ice extent, a size comparison of Antarctica to
the British Isles, the bedrock beneath the ice, and the wider Southern Ocean region.
Purpose:
This is side A of a double-sided map. The map covers Antarctica south of 60°S and displays topographic detail
including coastline, bathymetry, contours and scientific research stations.
